Acne Therapy Face
Acne affects both men and women of all ages in Kenya – mostly of course during teenage years. In an adult, acne can be especially annoying, and many patients seek our help at Dr. Stasch MediSpa.
You will usually first see our skin specialist, Dr. Tilman Stasch who will assess your condition.
We then recommend a combination of therapies including laser. Our exceptional NdYAG laser in Nairobi combines a long and short laser impulse to make it an ideal choice to treat conditions such as active acne, cystic acne, adult-onset acne, teenage acne and others.
Its safety profile makes it ideal for all skin types. The skin remains intact with this laser.
For most of our acne patients, all therapies start with a few session with the NdYAG laser – because it is so effective in reducing the amount of bacteria that colonize the pores in our skin. At the same time, the laser energy also shrinks the oil glands in the skin and helps with oil control. Pimples and acne also tend to be less inflamed after laser treatments and this reduces the amount of acne marks after a breakout. Usually, this laser session will be repeated after 2 – 4 weeks, until the active acne is under control.
In addition, pigmentation and scarring often accompany the acne-prone face – these conditions can also be addressed when you seek our help.

Other skin lesions that can be treated by this laser (NdYAG) include vascular lesions (rosacea, facial redness, blood vessels, hemangiomas, angiomas, facial or leg veins, telangiectasia, venous lakes, port-wine stains), photo-rejuvenation, hair removal and onychomycosis (nail fungus).
